A BBQ can be used to cook Food items so they yeild more. BBQs can be found mainly in civilian loot spawns and are very easy to spot due to their size differences with most other items.
BBQs can be saved with the use of a Tent so your camp always has a method of cooking.
To cook food on a BBQ, use Interact Key (Default F/Enter) first add 1 litre of petrol, then add one or two food items, then ignite with a Lighter. A BBQ will burn for 30 seconds to cook the food items.
